In August, believers from every corner of Togo gathered once again for Pray for Togo, a nationwide prayer movement uniting Christians from different cities, backgrounds, and denominations.
The goal: to seek God’s face for the revival of our nation, the strengthening of the Church, and the empowerment of the youth.

A Movement of Intercession for Togo

During several intense days of prayer and fasting, men and women stood in the gap for Togo’s spiritual awakening. We prayed that hearts across the nation would turn back to God and that righteousness and justice would reign in every sphere — from government to education, from families to the media.

This August edition reminded us that prayer is not an event; it’s a continuous movement. Every session was filled with passionate worship, prophetic declarations, and deep intercession for national transformation.

Youth Rising as Watchmen Over the Nation

Across Togo, we saw young men and women rise as watchmen, interceding with tears, passion, and unwavering faith. Their cry was simple yet powerful:

“Let Togo become a light to Africa and to the nations.”

The Pray for Togo movement is raising a new generation of revivalists — young believers who understand that the destiny of a nation is shaped in the place of prayer.

Continuing Until God’s Glory Fills the Land

We remain steadfast in prayer, declaring the promises of God over Togo.
We will keep praying, keep believing, and keep declaring — until the glory of God fills our land.

As it is written in Habakkuk 2:14 (NIV):

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”

Each day, young believers across the nation united in one spirit to lift Togo before God, declaring His promises over our land, our leaders, and our generation.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
— 2 Chronicles 7:14

This movement was not just a prayer campaign — it was a spiritual awakening, calling a generation back to the heart of God for their nation.

A Nation on Its Knees

For 21 days, voices rose from every region, crying out for peace, justice, righteousness, and revival. United by faith, we declared that Togo belongs to Jesus Christ, and that His light will shine in every corner of the nation.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”
— Isaiah 60:1

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.”
— Psalm 33:12

Every prayer carried the hope that God would restore Togo, raising a generation that walks in truth, purity, and boldness.

The Climax: April 27th – Togo’s Independence Day

The journey reached its peak on April 27th, Togo’s Independence Day. On that historic day, hundreds gathered as sons and daughters of this land, proclaiming freedom, righteousness, and renewal over Togo.

We prayed for:

• Righteous leadership, that men and women in authority may walk in the fear of God (Proverbs 29:2).
• Revival among the youth, that young hearts would turn fully to Jesus (Joel 2:28).
• The light of Christ to cover the land, from the north to the south, from the east to the west (Habakkuk 2:14).

That day, heaven heard the cry of a generation — a generation declaring that Togo’s destiny is in the hands of God.

This Is Just the Beginning

The fire that began in April still burns. PRAY FOR TOGO is more than an event — it’s a spiritual movement of transformation through prayer, unity, and faith.

As we continue this journey, we hold on to God’s promise:

“Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.”
— Psalm 2:8

Together, we boldly proclaim:

Togo belongs to Jesus!
